Ladybugs
A downloadable puzzle book
A short rule-discovery puzzle book, made for the Rule-Discovery Puzzle Game Jam! https://itch.io/jam/rule-discovery-paper-puzzle-game-jam
I couldn't really find a game that matched the theme of the jam, but I'm satisfied with how this turned out. This is a short collection of 9 puzzles where you must figure out the rules as you go. My main constraints were trying to create a system on a more unique type of grid, and eventually, trying to make the entire thing wordless (aside from the title). Hope you enjoy!
Credit to Omega_3301 and enzopuzzlesolver for their early attempts at the book (I accidentally gave them a version where puzzle 2 was unsolvable. Good times)

You say it doesn't match the theme of the jam, but I think this is the rule-discoveriest game of the lot. I like it!
Thanks for your comment! I mean that the jam had “Lost Arts” as an optional theme (which is why a lot of games play around the idea of a lost skill, lost tradition, a lost artwork, or wordplay on “lostart”). This was initially going to be a board game/“sport” with pentagonal pieces whose rules had been lost to time, however the ladybugs convinced me to follow other routes :)
